Cancellation of Public Masses

Ballyclog Donaghenry

At the request of the Archbishop and with guidance from medical experts, the PUBLIC celebration of Masses has been suspended as of this weekend due to the heightened concerns regarding the spread of Covid 19 – Coronavirus.

Masses will be available to access at the normal times via the webcam service available through the Parish Website.  People are invited to join in Mass via the website and this will fulfill their Sunday obligation.

These measures have been put in place as a safeguard for the vulnerable at this time.  Inevitably it will cause distress to some, but we are all asked at this time to think of others, be considerate in our actions and help the management of the spread of this illness by abiding by these regulations.

Many thanks for your understanding.

About

“A lawyer, to disconcert Jesus, put a question , ‘Master, which is the greatest commandment of the Law?’  Jesus said, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.  This is the greatest and the first commandment.  The second resembles it: You must love your neighbour as yourself.  On these two hang the whole Law and the Prophets also’.

Matthew 22:35-40
